maintenance required light(and yes i did a search first)
i have a 95 gsr. the maintenance required light is on. does any one know how i turn it off? there is nothing wrong with the car, except the stupid light is on. thanks in advance for any information.
You shouldn't just leave it though, cause if something really does go wrong then you won't know because the light is still on!
Take it to the dealership and they will do a Level 3 maintenance and turn the light off for you.......That's what happend to me just after I bought my 95 GSR in June 2005

like the team integra post says, it is a timed service light, it turns on at around 135,000 miles, which is when acura recomends a major vehicle service inspection
just push the buttom to shut it off and forget about it, as long as you have always performed routine matinence on the car

Up from the semi-dead, my light just turned on as well and was wondering what is done when you take it to a shop or the dealer to have it serviced? And around how much does it cost? My 94 gsr has about 128k miles and nothing mechanically seems wrong.

to turn it off there is a button under the steering wheel...its a small square ....
if you are doing a major maintenance:
spark plugs
coolant flush
tranny flush
oil and filter
air filter
pcv valve
tire ro
brake cleaning
...............my shop charges 169.
but if i were to do my car it would be the stuff on top plus
fuel filter
wires if needed
cap/ rotor
and if pass 110
t-belt and water pump
thats a really great major service........
