It's up to you, different people like different things, I personally like ACT
As for stages, that's basically teh durability of the clutch and how much pressure it can take before it slips, higher HP motors will need a higher stage clutch...if I'm right in the assumption that ur B16a2 in ur 99si is stock (or has tyical bolt-ons such as I/H/E) u'll want a stage 1 clutch kit or an OEM clutch kit...stage 2 or 3 is overkill...
PS:
THey dont' always call them stage 1 stage 2 stage 3, somtime sthey got three different "levels" - but the stages are implied..I know ACT doesn't call 'em stages... but like I said, they're implied with 3 different types (levels)...

get a goddamn stock clutch if you have a Stock motor. I am ride'n on a B16 right now with a stage 1 clutch with bone stock motor except an aem intake. That thing isn't helping. As a matter of fact its a bitch to launce off cuz its heavier. U gotta hold the clutch down a bit longer den normal before fully releaseing your clutch with a stage one. USELESS!
Exedy is a good brand if you are planning on getting a clutch for a relatively stock engine. Their oem replacement can hold 10-15% more power than stock, so I've heard. I had one in my old car and loved it.
right now im running h/i/e and a crank pulley and im doing much more but i wanted to do clutch and flywheel before those. No turbo though. All NA. im thinkin an excedy stage 2

I have an Unorthodox Racing Kevlar Unsprung clutch.
After break-in (500-1000 miles) it held fine on my car. (Roughly 240whp turbo D)
I was told it'll last 3-4 times longer than a stock clutch too.
The pressure plate is soft & it feels like a stock clutch, but it can actually hold power. I have no problems with it, though my friend's dad said that it "just grabbed" when he drove it.
