Possible bad ground??
I think I may have a bad ground somewhere. I pulled my motor about 8 months ago, and just got it back in recently. I didn't change any wiring, just pulled the motor, rebuilt it.. put it back in, same wiring, same ecu...etc. I turned on the headlights tonight, and on dim, the drivers bulb is really really bright, the passenger bulb is dim (about normal), then when you switch to bright the drivers side goes off, and the passenger side has both lights on, but they are dim. A friend of mine told me he had a similar problem and it was a bad ground... can anyone confirm?
My ecu is showing a solid cel, and i tried multiple chips (crome) and I know the problem isn't in the chip, and I figured the ecu wouldn't have much of a chance of going bad just sitting in the car for 8 months with the battery unplugged.
So, could a bad ground cause the ecu to throw a solid cel? If anyone has input, it'd be greatly appreciated

i had a similar problem the ground that went from the frame to tranny arew coroded and rusted and my car wouldnt start it looked fine bit i replaced it anyway an it fried right up dont know if this helps but there yea go
I checked all of the main engine grounds.... haven't checked the headlight grounds yet (only checked everything I knew about)...but I cleaned up the main battery ground, tranny ground, valve cover ground, and ground that goes to the thermostat housing, so a bad ground is ruled out as the cause of my main problem.
