clutch quest? HELP!!!!!!!
i have decided to do a obd1 ls swap into my civic, and have a 2000 si tranny, now my question, is there anyone out there that can give me instructions to put my clutch in, or give me a link that would do the same thing! the clutch that im trying to put in is an f1 stg. 3, so if someone wants to help it would be greatly appreciated.
-You pull off the old pressure plate & clutch disc by taking out the pressure plate bolts.
-Next you should either buy a new flywheel or have your old one resurfaced.
-Reinstall your flywheel (76ft/lbs for flywheel bolts. Best to use a couple of drops on the flywheel bolts)
-Put on the clutch disc & pressure plate, put all of the bolts on to hold everything, and then line the clutch disc up using a clutch alignment tool.
-Tighten the PP bolts to 19ft/lbs.
That's how you put a new clutch on.
BTW- You'll need some 12pt sockets. I think the PP bolts are 12mm, I'm not sure what size the flywheel bolts are.

There should be a metal piece that goes inside of it that slips over that ball in the opening of the tranny. I had a hard time with mine because I didn't put it in correctly the first time.
