knock sensor on 94 h22a swap??

Default knock sensor on 94 h22a swap??

i have a 94 H22a w/94usdm ecu, what needs to be done about the knock sensor?? the h22a dosnt have one

did u mean that it didn't come with one, because most of the knock sensors from honda/acura are interchangable as long as they are the same either obdI or obdII


but if u want u could always chip the ecu to make it bypass the knock sensor. but that is not safe or recommended and will probably result in ur engine blowing up.

if u mean u cannot find it then look again at the back of the block above the oil filter for either a black or green sensor(not sure of color) since it is obdI it should have 1 pin comming out of it for the connector.

there isnt a sensor there (94 jdm H22A) looks like there is a plug of some sort on the block that you can take out with a 3/8 ratchet (maybe1/2) .........think i have to add it?? someone has to know

check your other thread genius... now that i know which ecu you're using, yes you're going to need it if you want your **** to run right... so go get one and quite posting the same crap multiple times in the same damn forum

Sounds like someone removed the sensor and plug it with an insert.

so i need to buy one and put it in place of the plug?? (using P13 ECU) would not having a knock sensor cause the ecu to cut the fuel (negitve pulse) completly??

why would somone remove the knock, i did buy the swap from a private owner but the motor was still strapped the the pallet looking like it came from striaght from japan

Probably running a chipped P28. P28's don't need a KS.

thought about that but why go throught the trouble of removing then finding a cap, when you could just let it be????
