Ignition help
My car was stolen and the ignition was snapped in half. I bought a new one and to unscrew the top they cut in a slot for a flathead to remove the screws that wrap around the steering column. Problem is the busted one on my car now I do not know how to get off. Should I try to make cuts in the tops of the bolts to get a flathead in there. or is there a simpler way. Sorry if this is confusing. Thought I would ask you guys before I started hacking at it
If you know your explanation is unclear then why post it in the first place. Maybe some pictures would help? Do you have a service manual? That would probably show you how to take it apart, since it proabably had to go together some point of the car's life.
Your subject line is misleading too. I thought this had to do with the car's ignition, not the ignition switch.
