Ok Im in the process to doing the wiring for my b16a swap and I see on my Y1 Tranny there are 2 vaccum hoses? comming out of the tranny one on each side of the speedo cable....What does this do and what does it connect to? Can anyone show me pics of what it goes to? Its a cable y1 tranny

i know on D-series cable trannies there is a hose or two that comes out and just acts as a vent, they don't hook to anything, just zip tie it pointing down or something

 

That is for "speed-assisted power steering"..

It is actually a small pump designed to increase pressure
to the power steering as speed increases..

I looped a piece of 5/16" hose and filled it
with power steering fluid to keep it lubricated..

 

i dunno bout that 9think the two hoses on the vss are for the power steering or something...if ur not gonna us em for ps you just loop a hose from one end to the other...someone mentioned that there is a pump or something inside and to put a lil bit of ps fluid in the line so it dont burn up...i dont...i doubt i will ever need the power steering so who cares if the pump burns up...i dont think it has anything to do with the vss so im sure ull be straight
