Default Subs in a Fit

Has anyone put subs in their Fit? If so, do regular sub boxes fit, or would a custom box be better? Where is the amp located? Also, if possible, include pictures.

Thanks

New to this forum so be gentle :/

regular boxes? I'm not sure what you mean by a "regular" box, but there is plent of room in the back for subs; either right off the shelf or having a custom enclosure made.

My 06 RSX had a sub fitted in the Spare Tire. I was wondering if that would fit in the Fit. Hmmm...

You have plenty of room to do whatever you like

Do the same thing you did on you RSX

Regular box is like one you can buy from Best Buy or a store along that lines. When I get my Fit I'm thinking about doing 2 custom boxes that go on either side of the trunk floor facing inward and running the wires up to an amp located underneath the driver/passenger side seat. So far I've only test drove a Fit soc an anyone hook it up with a pic of the back with the seats in the upright position so I can see what I have to work with?

Also, keep me updated if the spare tire place will work.

I do not think subwoofers are even remotely a issue. Now replacing the factory headunit with a aftermarket unit is a challenge.

I guess I was really just going to see what kind of ideas people had. So I can see what kind of ideas I like and design my own from there.

I have heard decent things about the Kenwood ksc-sw1 dual 6.5" at the Crutchfield website. It isn't for someone that wants outstanding amounts of bass but if you want a little more I think this is the way to go as the sub can fit under your front seat.

You are not getting anything to fit under the front seats as the gas tank lives under there.

Hmmmm.....I will have to ask the two people I talked to that said they got their Kenwood subs installed under the front seats. Going to ask for some pics too, I figured there was still enough space to mount the thing onto a 1/2 in peice of plywood placed under the carpet with the subs height dimension of 3 3/4 in.

But I can not tell for sure cause I am waiting, waiting, waiting for Fit to come in.
