Is there any "legal-street" bike with less than 250cc ?? :D
I'm from brazil and there we have like 125cc :D
I want to buy a bike, but its going to be my first ride, so i want to start from the bottom
Thanks!

There's not much of a market for bikes smaller than 250cc in the US. Most bikes that are smaller than 250cc are scooters.

Do new street-legal two-strokes exist? I was under the impression they were axed because of emissions. But that's probably a California thing...

Right, but purchasing them new in the US is out of the question. It's more of a grey market, and it's only interesting to enthusiasts, such as we.

The powerband on the Ninja 250 is easier to get along with than a smoker.

I had been thinking about this subject lately myself. I'm considering trading in my scooter for something a tad faster.

Theres the Suzuki GN125, which has been around forever, it's a single cylinder 125 cc four stroke.

Theres also the Yamaha TW200 I think, it's a dual sport bike with a big balloon rear tire.

There's also the Honda Nighthawk 250, which is probably what I would go with next.

I think Suzuki still makes the DR200E, but I'm not sure. It's another dual-sport bike.

Kawasaki Eliminator 125 - Don't think you can go on the highway though.

Yamaha XT225 (Dual Purpose) - my favorite MSF bike.
