strut bars for autocross
I'm using the Spoon front and rear bars. Much beefier than the stock ones. I think the spoon ones are pretty good for the price you pay. The mugen look nicer but cost a lot more.
If you plan on competing regularly in Auto-x, find out the rules of your class. See if they even allow strut bar modifications. I think if you run in D-Stock, you won't be able to change it out. Look into shocks.
well I ran Street Mod but I think street touring will better suite my skill level.
(first time was last week end and already has a battle wound!)

CF hood = SM. If you are serious about Autox, lose the hood and run STX. Otherwise, have fun getting pounded in SM
And people have different opinions about this, but I feel that *anytime* you can improve the ridigity of the Unibody, you're better off.

yeah isnt that what I'm doing by buying these bars?
OH and does anyone know who makes the bar that goes from the seat belt mounts in the back seat?

If you're looking to make the car rotate, buy the Mugen 26mm rear anti-swaybar. It will make a much greater difference than the rear strut bar. I've driven my car with a lot with different setups...stock, spoon rear strut bar only, mugen 26mm bar only, both strut bar and mugen 26mm (my favorite). If you are only looking to spend x $ though, just go with the mugen bar from King Motorsports. It's twice as much money as the strut bar, but it makes a more significant difference IMO. You can feel the difference as soon as you drive the car the first time.
I have my new Spoon front bar sitting in my garage, the one that was supposed to match my rear spoon one. Unfortunately it won't be going in because it doesn’t use the factory location which leaves for studs sticking up with nothing connected to it....

Mugen is the way to go,it uses the factory location, but hey if you want a spoon bar I would be willing to sell you mine

I just saw a pic of the APR front bar, now that's a beefy looking bar. Any thoughts on it? (aren't they the same guys that make those horrendous aluminum spoilers?)
Try putting just the front Mugen bar and drive it for a week. Then put the rear one on and do the same. The car feels more solid each time you do that. If Mugen makes more bars I will put them on one by one until my car is full of bars..
