2003 V6 Accord 6spd
I was talking with the dealership i bought my car from and they said that the 2003 model Accords will be restyled both sedan and coupe. Although the sedan will be completely restyled and the coupe will be altered just a bit. Also if you look in this months issue or Motor Trend or Road&Track you will see the newest designs of the sedan accord. They sey that it looks Audish!?! As for the V6 6spd thats comming out the owner told me that they are going to release the v6 automatic and the V4 in August just like usuall, and the V6 6spd will be released in November slowly distributing them. Although one more thing supposedly they have to put something in along with the engine to keep the engine from moving so much?? Well thats all I heard on that matter.
first of all...it's |4 not v4...and second of all...the dealers don't know much about what's to come because honda has not released much...and as for the 6 speed you talk of...it probably isn't true...honda will most likely put a 5 speed due to the fact that it's the first manual tranny in the v6...and the styling on both the coupe and sedan is set to change drastically (spelling?)...there are a few pics on this sight about it...they are probably the same pics that were in motor trend!
well the transmission will probably be from the nsx, and would then be 6 speed, but they will probably water it down to a 5 speed gear box b/c its a 'honda' not an 'acura'

Well I don't see why they can't put a 6-spd in there .. they just released it on the new CL Type-S .. unless they are trying to seperate the two cars ... then I can see where a 5-spd could be used.

I doubt the new transmission will be a 5 speed. The only manual transmission as of yet for the J series engine is the one in the CL Type S. They might take a gear out of it but I doubt they would as they just developed the CL type s 6 speed and dont know how much longer they are going to keep it around. They need to make the money back from developing it some how
yeah, honda will only develope one manual tranny for the J series...so you can bet the accord will have the CL-S 6-speed tranny...but NOT the nsx tranny...dunno where that came from...
there's not enough market to be making diff manual trannies...but since they have it, it will go into the next accord coupe
