hi im about to change my brake bads because they past due for a change but when im driving 40mph+ the front drivers side makes the same screeching noise when im presssing the brakes. the car does not make this noise under 40mph though.

will changing the break pads get rid of that problem too or is it a whole diff problem? i want to get rid of the problem while i change the pads

 

try resufacing your rotors. that is probably whats causing the noise.

mine does that too at slow braking speeds.
