Due to leaving for the weekend last night i was unable to visit the post office again this morning. So, even better i had my brother whom works at the address the cams were to be sent to all this time visit them bright and early this morning.
Last night after explaining this whole mess to him he agreed to go and see what more he could learn bc i informed him that Rene's post office in San Antonio had contacted our post office here in PA.
Well, he called me just shortly after leaving the post office with this information. First and foremost, a huge apology by the United States Postal Service for placing call tags in the wrong P.O. Box. Instead of placing them in box 480, they were placing them in 580. Unfortunately this P.O. Box belongs to a college student whom is not living in town for the summer, and does not get a chance to regularly check his/her mail.
My brother finally explained to them that for over a week now there was to be a package arriving for him with the 20 digit tracking number supplied by Rene, from San Antonia Texas with the return address of a Rene Marin on it. They asked him for a call tag which he could not supply, but he informed them of exactly what i was told, that several had been sent and that the package was going to soon be returned.
It was at this time, they began searching through every package they had at the post office and shortly there after my brother signed for the cams sent by Rene. With that being said and before the wolves start attacking me for "premature" this and that, let me say the following:
First of all to Rene, i was wrong for calling you a scammer and for that i am sorry. Should you not have informed me via pm that the cams were accepted and signed for by another individual i would have never jumped the gun. It was only when i thought the cams had been recieved by someone other then myself and having been denied a refund by you that i decided to take the last action possible as a buyer that i could, which was make the post. Again... to you i apologize! I have was raised to admit when you're wrong, and i hope you can forgive my actions.
To Honda Tech ITR forum members: PLEASE learn a lesson from this. It doesn't matter if you are buying or selling, it's of great importance to communicate with the individual you are doing business with. As stated in my original post, i never anticipated having issues with Rene bc of the reputation he had recently earned having sold all those polos.
The only reason i became concerned was the lack of information provided to me, and the fact that i had purchased a part with someone's money other then my own. I purchase 90% of the items put on either my Type R or GSR via Marc username BlueR. He is an excellent seller, who provides me with a update as soon as he has it, as well as a tracking number and either a call, pm or sometimes both checking to make sure i did in fact recieve the items he sent me. I am not trying to make excuses for what happened, but rather trying to justify my actions being put in the situation i was.
The last thing i want to do, is AGAIN....apologize to everyone especially Rene for my actions. I don't want to leave a bad taste in anyone's mouth after all of this and would like to continue our discussions on here as usual.
THANKS RENE!
OH... and lastly, if this post turns into a heated debate of right and wrong i ask that it would be locked please. I want to set things right and nothing further. So please keep your hostile comments to yourself, and do not post if you have nothing positive to say.

I am glad you received the cams. Jon, it takes a man to own up to his mistakes and you did that. I hope that Renee can forgive not only you but those that were quick to jump on him. That takes an even bigger man and I am sure he is.
to me it still sounds like your not taking any blame for your actions, your simply trying to justify them. so if you were right, it would then be okay to do what you did? and your telling everyone to not leave a negative or smart comment, i think that is very hypocritical. at one point you were ready to crucify this guy because of his reputation. i wouldn't accept your apology, but who asked for my opinion anyways right. your right, and im wrong. you can even have this deleted i dont care. the actions taken were just wrong.

on the other hand, i dont doubt that rene m is a stand-up member of this community, but it sounds like he could have communicated a little better according to jon's side of the story, and that only fueled the frustration. however you gotta take into consideration what happened to the seller's itr and that lift, because damn, i too would be devastated.

I'm relieved that you received your cams, and glad that Rene did indeed send them out when he said he sent them out.
Some of us did <u>try</u> to point out to you that it was too premature to label Rene a scammer with your other thread because of the obvious lack of information from the USPS. You can't really undo the damage completely, but I applaud you for offering up an apology to him.
I wonder if the other people that were so quick to pass judgement, (especially the ones that suggested karma was to blame for Rene's unfortunate incident with his car) would be man enough to apologize too.

A great big thank you to those who understand my intentions here. A large majority of you have either met me personally at one of the last three Expos i have attended or speak with me daily on either AIM or HT pms. I would go and have gone great lengths for many of you and would give the shirt of my back if you ever needed it. Think what you may of me, but i will continue to participate in the same functions, postings and help plan future ITR Expos for years to come. For better or worse i use every situation i encounter as a learning experience. This has taught me a great lesson, and would do things differently if i could only turn back time.
I would like to apologize to Jon D and Rene. These camshafts were for me and I am truly the one whom caused all the commotion. Hopefully Rene you have not lost any credit through this transaction, nor Jon. Rene you have been slapped on the face but it takes a better man to turn the other cheek. My sincerest apologies. If you have an aftermarket intake manifold for a GSR head, i will complete business with you again
