Default someone help me please, intake manifold doesn't fit!!

okay i have searched this and found no results. i need help, i feel i have been mis informed on some stuff, or maybe not, here is the situation, i have a jdm b18c, the head is gsr or type r? i don't know, i'm not orig owner of car, all i know is it has a gsr valve cover. okay i went on ebay, ordered a type r im gasket, and a skunk 2 pro series intake manifold, got both in, the gasket and manifold fit and line up perfect to each other. this morning i spent a long while taking the old gsr intake manifold off. when i was all off, etc etc, i tried fitting the new gasket on, bottom holes line up, not top, then i took new gasket matched it up to gsr manifold, doesn't match there either, tried fitting new skunk 2 onto studs, they don't match up, so my new stuff doesn't fit the head prett much, i called the people from ebay i ordered from, they said i need to order the gsr version of the skunk 2 manifold. i guess i was misled, i was always told the gsr and type r stuff was compatible and fit together! thats the information, can anyone tell me what my problem is?

the gsr head is different from the b18b and b18c5, so go get a gsr intake manifold gasket, and a gsr skunk2 intake manifold.

I dunno who told you that they werre the same, but you should probably shoot them in the throat.

great guys thanks, ok he is dead, not really, but that explains it, see i have a b18c block, and what i thought was gsr intake manifold, head, and tranny, but this guy swore up and down to me i had a type r head with a gsr valve cover on it for some reason, but that explains it, kinda sucks to take that thing off and it not fit, and i bought some prothane motor mounts, tried replacing the rear while manifold was off, couldn't get the bolt going through the mount off, i couldn't muster up enough strength, i think i'm gonna need impace wrench. so a whole day wasted for nothing
