rear wheel drive accords
1. The Accord is not a sports car.
2. The average driver does not need, want, or care about RWD.
3. FWD is more efficient. (Less drivetrain losses)
4. FWD is safer, in the sense that the car is easier to control during bad conditions. (Think: hydroplaning)

Once you add a rear diff, axles, supports for rear diff, etc., that would not really be an issue.
