it only happens at 4k its coming from the front of the engine. i can not really explain the noise.

i dont think its a rod bearing sound it maybe i have never experienced it before or possibly an intermediate shaft. its a b18b by the way if that helps

 

is it like a rattle??? do u have an aftermarket header???

 

its more like a chainsaw sound and the header is stock

 

anyone ? its a chain saw from 4k to 5k some one must know something.

 

rattling heatshields? are you experiencing a loss of performance or other symptoms when you hear the noise?

sounds like the infamous integra rattle.

To be honest, i've been looking for an explaination since i got my car. I've taken off every heatshield from the header to the cat, i've tightened my shift linkage, i've replaced ALL motor mounts, checked the O2 sensors, and still nothing.

About the only thing to do is get used to it
But if you ever do figure it out - let everyone know, please

is your A-pipe bro but that alone from the dealership cost about 500+ just get an aftermarket header and the rattle should be gone
