locking hood pins on a EG?

locking hood pins on a EG?
i was looking around on here and it looks like some people have problems with locking hood pins not lining up right. has anyone ever put them on an EG? did you have any problems? any advice on installing them?
and i know some people have had the hood fly open when driving, but i also have a hood latch along with the pins so it should be fine
