Skunk 2 manifold w/ AEM CAI
ok I have a 96 GSR I want to put a skunk 2 intake manifold on
my question is, can i use a type R AEM CAI, skunk 2 manifold, and just keep using my GSR TB? or do I have to get a type r TB?

the AEM CAI is for a GSR right? dont worry.. it will fit. my friend has a skunk 2 manifold with the AIM CAI as well. he didnt have any problems.
i have the skunk 2 manifold with a holley tb and the gsr aem intake and it fits they just had to cut the tube... but i took the cold air extension off cause i like the short ram better., but i havent tried to put the extension on yet so i dont know if the extension works..
Yes the GSR CAI must be cut in order to fit the skunk2 intake manifold. The TB sits considerably higher on it. You're just better off to buy a Type R CAI, and sell the GSR CAI with the stock intake manifold, or keep it for a rainy day.
ok so the best thing to do is
get a skunk2 Intake mani, and a Type R AEM CAI, keep GSR TB???
gains of around 10whp with tuning correct?
