I'm new at this forum. I need immediate help! I have been looking for a set of driver and passenger airbags for my sister's 99 Civic 4-door. I called up a Honda dealer and he told me 'the only airbags that have the same unit # are the 99-00 model'. I know for sure that the year 2000 will fit, but aren't there more?

P.S. I am looking for cheap airbags on craigslist and ebay.

 

The connectors on the airbags may be different from 98 to 99

 

The driver should be the same.

 

which years? when people mention civic years, they commonly mention 92-95, 96-98, 99-00, and others. is that supposed to mean that the parts are all the same on those year civics? i've seen a set of airbags sold on ebay that said 96-00, but i'm not sure if it would be compatible with a 99 civic.
