2000 GSR w/ 35,000 miles: blown motor
A friend of mine that works with me at Acura came up to me Saturday while I was at work and asked me if I knew anything he could use to get all the oil off the back of his car, since I work in detial. I was like WHAT? He said yeah, I threw a rod last night while I was getting on the interstate. That's all he told me but I know that your motor doesn't just blow up because you are getting on it. He had to have mis-shifted to 2nd. It blew cylinder one and there is two holes in the bottom of the block on the driver's side and oil shot all out the exhaust and covered the back of his car. But, luckily Acura will probably replace his motor. He is putting it all back to stock, because he was trying to sell it before he blew it up but he is still trying to sell it. Now he's thinking about a Type R or a hybrid. Yeah it really sucks for him huh?
