well i got the si tails for my 97 coupe .. and i knew i had to replace the clear bulb .. but the problem is i have a 7440 bulb .. and the only 7440s i saw at autozone were clear .. i asked the guy at autozone and he said the 99-00 civics use an 1157 bulb .. thats a totally different socket .. so .. i saw a similar wedge shaped bulb it was a 3057 .. will that work in the 7440 socket?
if not .. what bulb do i use? .. do i have to buy online?

try going to napa and get 7440a, i believe its amber, or a 7440y, not sure about this cuz i aint worked there in a while and i didnt work there that long, but the clear bulbs would be a 7440 like you said, and when they made the same bulb in red, it would be a ****R, or yellow/amber would be a ****A or Y. jsut call them and see. napa people USUALLY know their ****.
id say go to an auto parts stor and ask them what bulbs are recomended for your 99 si tails its as simple as that bro
