Default New street tire time...which?

Okay first, I am probably not going to do much racing on my street tires. Having said that I still want a tire that will perform well when I want to use it. The hot tire of choice seems to be the Azeni, BUT, I hear it is noisy and I will be driving my car everyday and on long trips so the quieter the better. I have Ecsta 712s right now, and while they suck for autocrossing, they are quiet, have good wet traction and decent enough traction to use on the streets. The only problem I have with them is that they wear fast on my car. When I had AVSis I never had camber wear issues, but the Kumhos have worn the insides out in about 15,000 miles, with maybe 3 or 4 autocross events. My thinking that their soft sidewall allows this to happen, where as the AVSis' stiffer sidewalls prevented this?? Perhaps my thinking is flawed...

Anyhow, my point is, I need new tires...decent dry grip, good wet grip and stiff sidewalls. Suggestions?? Oh, also, I'm on a budget, so lets try to keep them priced under $100 each in a 205/50-15.

Thanks!

Mike

205/50-15 under $100 eh?
Since you already have and don't particularly like the performance of the 712, I'd say Bridgestone Potenza RE730. The Potenza S-03 are $118 and you can't go wrong with those. Or are you looking for a 100% street tire with some snow traction and won't be autoxing at all on them?

Yeah the RE730 is a good street tire. The S-03 are one of the best street tires out there! Though a little costly, they kick *** in the dry and if it is raining, no problem! S-03 kick major *** in the wet!

Personally I don't think the Azenis are loud on the streets as a daily driver.

140 shiped to your door for Falken Azenis. 195/50/15. they are really good tires. i beleive the website is onlinetirestore.com those tires knock 2 10ths of my friends time. and they are street tires. Steal belted radials. so if you want to run someone and they say you have cheaters. show them that it says Steal belted radials, not drag radials. AHHahah. as far as noise goes. ive never heard of that

To answer the orig question, take a look at Pirelli P700 $50 ea, cant be beat for the price. Just ask all the NC rednecks!

Discount tire I think, there is a thread in the ITR forum about a group buy on the falkins.

They make a 215-45-16 works great on an ITR. I think they make a 205-45-15 as well.

Sumitomo HTR 200 are really nice tires for daily driving and perform very well on both dry and wet pavement. Tires are also cheap.
