Default I have two seperate problems... a/c and clutch (trans)

Well my first problem is with my a/c. I just put a condenser in it yesterday. i evacuated the whole system and had the machine run for about 20 mins to get all the moisture and moldy crap out of it. Then i re-charged the system with 2 lbs of freon and put the dye in it. It had no visable leaks or anything and the compressor kicked on but it was knocking a little. So anyways my problem is that it blows very cold air intermittently. If im sitting at a light, then it blows semi-cool air but once i get going it gets colder and colder. Also the car hesitates. Its got slight hesitation when your on the gas with the a/c running but as soon as you turn the a/c off, the hesitation goes away. i think its got something to with the compresser because i just put a new belt on it yesterday and it might be because of that. so that's my first problem.

my second problem is about my clutch. well i wont lie, i've been beating on my car for several months now. so the other day i was driving and my clutch pedal was really soft and mooshy. it felt like stepping on a tomato. after it got really mooshy, i could powershift the car w/o any effort. i could go from 1st to 2nd with a little bit of struggling. but like when i went to work today, the clutch pedal had like 1 inch to maybe to inchs of play before totally enguaging. i dont know if having gm syncromesh friction modified really makes a difference or not. i think its my clutch but i want to be totally sure.

also how hard is it to replace a clutch. are there any walk throughs on d series trannys?

thanks.

yes there are walkthroughs on trannys, i believe there is a great one under the FAQ.

replacing a clutch is easy...taking the transmission off to do it took me 5 hours(first time).
