Noob Qustion regarding oil

Default Noob Qustion regarding oil

I just changed the oil in my 94 honda accord for the first time, and i was wondering where i can take the used oil to for disposal? I was told that i can take it to napa auto parts? sry if this is a noob question i usually get my oil change at shop.

yes...you can take it to napa, aids auto...etc they will take your oil and have it sent out to be recycled or disposed of.

Besides the auto-parts stores, pretty much any place that changes oil themselves will take your used oil at no cost.

This includes places like Wal-Mart and the quick lube places.

Another thing I do is take an used plastic soda bottle, cut it in half, clean it, and use that as a disposable funnel to put the oil into the engine. No spills. Oh, and those 5-quart jugs are great for hauling the used oil back to whichever store for disposal.
