mounting slim fans?
Nah brah, zip ties work fine. I have 4 of them on my halfcore and I've ran it real hard, had it on there for a couple months now and I don't notice anything wrong with em.
I am getting ready to go work on my radiator and put a slim fan on. Use one way zip ties. You can get them at any auto parts store. It's like $3 for 4 of em.
ha i just tried mounting them with zip ties and its not working all that great. the locations of the holes on the radiator aren't allowing the fans to sit against the radiator completely flush; they're just kinda bouncing around. if someone took pics when they installed theirs i would really appreciate them being posted up.

the fans diameter must be larger than the fin portion of the rad. I know the Teg rads can run up to a 14" slim fan. The Hayden fasteners that are kinda like zip ties work great.
EDIT:
Here's a pic of my 14" Hayden slim Fan setup as a pusher

I have an 11'' and a 10''. Like I said go to orieleys (sp?) and get some one way zip ties. I just finished mounting both of my fans with these on a C&R after I cut the mounting bracket off. The work no problem. Just ask someone there for some one way zip ties. They cost me like $3 and change. You get 4 with 4 little foam pads to mount it just off the fins. I don't have any pics because it is raining like crazy.

Is that setup working okay with the fans having to push air through the A/C condenser first, and then through the radiator, instead of like the stock fans pulling air through the radiator and then the condenser?

what exactly are metal type zip ties? are they the exact same thing as plastic, just metal? never heard of them. and if they're the same thing, how would they be any better? i guess i'm just going to use the regular zip ties for now and if i have problems later on, i'll have to think of something else.

If you think about it, the fans have to get air through the condenser first anyways. And in my line of work, "its always better to push then to pull." Plus mine are 12inch fans and push more cfm then the stock ones. Contact b18bturbo on here
EDIT: I did put my bumper support back on, it does not interfere with the fans. It was just easier to work on the car w/ it off.
