broken console door on 2006 accord
There is a service bulletin on this if under warranty 02-067 which is only for 2003 accords under certain VIN's but may be the cause of yours too. You will need a new locking arm (g-sensor comp) Part number 77282-SDA-A00. H/C 7337645
or you can just take it apart and you will have to reconnect the locking arm and it will work, this happens to alot of people because they are pushing to hard and forcing it open, ive repaired several like this!

2006 should be the same, pull up the panel around the shift **** there are 6 clips holding this down so it might be hard to pull out, there are then two screws on the left and the right side of the cigarette lighter compartments then place a screw drive underneath the not and ash tray on the left side and pop the ash tray out, there will be two more screws under that and then the whole cigarette assemble will come out unplug the outlet, then there will be two more screws holding that cubby into place then close the cubby door and use a hook and pull on the top of the cubby with a hook while pulling on the bottom with your other hand and it should pop out of place. Then you will be able to fix the locking arm.
