Can any one HELP? I have a 2000 Civic with Toda ITBs on 2000 Type R motor. I am using Hondata S200 with a 0BD1 ECU to run it. It runs great at wide-open throttle but when I let off the gas and cruse my check engine light comes on and I have no power. I have to floor the gas and then it will go off and be ok for a while. If I don’t do that right away the car will go into lymph mode and I won’t be able to move. I tried to pull the code from the ECU but all I get is the check engine light comes on and stays on it dose not blink. Then the other day I was driving and my idle got stuck at 6000 Rpm I thought that the gas pedal might of got stuck but when I pulled up on it the idle went down a little but as soon as I released pressure it went right back up. I turned the car off and back on and it was ok. Dose any one know a good shop for tuning ITBs in California and if so what is there name and Phone Number? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

 

Tuning ITB's can be tricky. What other upgrades/mods do you have? Anything modified in the fuel system?

Also, why are you running an OBDI ECU on a 2000 B18C5? What ECU are you running? P28? Is it chipped?

Hondata doesn't have any 'base maps' so, where did you start with your tuning?

 

I am running Toda spec B Cams and Toda Headers. I have RC 440 injectors with and AEM universal Pressure Regulator and Walbro 255 fuel pump. The ECU is a P28. I think that the Chip in the ECU works with The Hondata S200. The way it was explained to me is that when the car is tuned on the dyno they make all the settings and then burn them on a chip that they put in the ECU that runs along with the Hondata unit.

 

Sounds like maybe a bad tune or an issue with the chip itself. If you read the code and its solid, that usually means a bad ecu, or a bad chip burn.
