Just Bought a 98 Type R #396 but it was shipped over a week ago

it is MIA be on the look out for it ..

I have been getting story after story about the where abouts of it and it's location

I bought the car from a hond-tech member A great seller it was picked up from his house on the 12th of July from Seattle and heading to Fort Worth Texas.

It was going to be a 5 day transit

It was going to be here Monday or Tuesday this week (NO SHOW)

Then they said it would be here Wednesday or Thursday (NO SHOW)

This is what the dispacher of the trucking company has been saying. Well today I got the phone number of the driver.

He answers and he claims he's in NEBRASKA and that the truck has broke it's axle and he should be here Monday or Tuesday.

Just another excuse I have shiped many vehicles and this is the first time this has ever happened

Im very concerned that they are giving me the run around and my fear is the car has been stolen and they can't be honest with me.

So be on the look out in NEBRASKA for 1998 CW Type R on a Truck it's stock condition.

Please call me if you see it 817-881-4810 or e-mail me at parkeredaniel@gmail.com

I have contacted the POLICE but i could sure use any help from you members if you spot it !!1

If it is a truck stop get the address etc.....

here is a pic of the car leaving Seattle

Relax, guy. I doubt the trucking company wants to come in to heat for a 15k Integra. The truck is broken and being fixed as per what you were told. I doubt the trucking company is a front for an international car theft ring intent on ridding the US of all it's valuable Type-R's

Yeah i been telling myself for days but

At first they gave me the wrong driver's phone number they said he had my car. that was when it was going to be here this week

i got a hold of him and he tells me i don't have a integra on my truck and he does not work for that shipping company so he had no idea ...

So do you see what I'm saying now

I have shipped so many cars NSX's Porsche's and i have never had a problem this is worse then you think guys. just be on the look out

Car ships the 12th and is due the 17th.
On the 20th no one can confirm where the car is.
Now the car isn’t due until the 24th or 25th.

I dunno about you, international conspiracy or not, 1 day late (never mind a week) is still expletive*ng late.
Imagine if everything you paid for took twice as long as the seller first told you: “Sorry, your house is going to be 18 more months, we think”

I’m hoping there will be a happy ending, but I’m keeping the insurance on it just in case.

I understand, but delivery has been postponed due to unforeseeable difficulties. No one said, that the car is not on a truck. They just said it's going to take longer than expected to be delivered.

Hope it works out, it's got to be a stressful situation that will be resolved shortly I hope.

i work for a shipping company, don't think its stolen, but the story they are giving is BOGUS!
Don't get irate with them, trust me last thing you wanna do is **** them off. Just be honest and let them know you aren't PISSED, you just wanna know the real story so everything can be handled the right way

ehhh...shippings a bitch. Especially when you have one person who is delivering the car. If that truck did get a busted axle then so be it. **** happens. My car has sat in parking lots a few times due to issues with various parts breaking. His truck is doing the same thing. **** happens.

On another note, if it is gone, it shouldn't be to difficult to track it. I mean, if it went on a trailer, someone picked the trailer up...I highly doubt a thief in the middle of the night is going to try to jack a car off of a car hauler. Especially in the middle of no where, Nebraska. Depending on who picked the trailer up, shouldn't have been in to many carriers hands. Who knows, maybe the carrier/driver didnt even know what kinda cars he has on his trailer. Just maybe a gas saving car to him. As sad as it may be, not everyone knows what a ITR is.

FWIW:
I would take it as the way the company is telling you. Especially if you've delt with them before with positive experiences.

Hey Killingtime, was it supposed to go all the way to Texas on that same flatbed shown in your thread? Or were they simply transporting it to the car carrier?

Either way it seems shady by now, I hope it shows up intact.

Hey another R in the DFW area. (eventually) There are a decent amount around. Matter of fact I saw a PY ITR on Cooper St. in Arlington while in mine. Plus, I know of at least 2 people with one.

I hope you get your R soon all in one piece and undamaged.

hey, it might not matter, but like 2 years ago, in Brooklyn, a champ white teg was stolen off a trailer that was supposed to deliver it to ohio i think, so why could this not happen over there. and all of you guys on here know if is was your car, you would be posting the same conerns only i guarantee, that i would be 100 pages of thread, if it were the right person to lose their car. i hope for the best for this situation. and business people are never straight up, completely.

The company thats towing your car has to be bonded, They are suppose to have insurance coverage valued to 5 times the amount they are towing. If the car is stolen while they have it, they are responsiable. I hoped you had your car shipped with a know company not a acme company. My pops is in the car commercial busniess, All the cars we move have to be insured by a insurance carrier will they are on a trailer. I hopes this helps, My pops was broken down with his brand new volvo simi truck in texas, There was no local parts to fix the turbo and he had to sit there for 4 days till the truck was fixed. 4 turned into a week. He ended up flying home for the weekend and flying back after to pick up his truck.
