Turning down the Sensitivity of the alarm
I know this is a personal decision.
The last time my (old) car was broken into, no alarm, no backup, etc was going to stop them. Real pros, and did almost no damage.
My current alarm goes off about twice a day. Once at work in the parking structure. And once at home - because of wind, rain, and thunder this morning. I'm sure waking up the hood.
I don't want to find my tires flat in the morning because someone did not get enough sleep.
It's not set to super sensitive, just normal how it should be. Should I turn it down?
The way I see it, any pro will get to my car if they really want to. The alarm is just a deterrent for the rookies.
What do you think?

Make sure impact sensor is mounted properly, if installed properly it should not be going off unless there is contact with the car.
Where is it mounted now and how?

I don't know. I'm guessing the traditional easy way. Up the dash on the metal beam that goes across, with a tie down.
