Ok, first off. This picture is NOT my car. My car is the dark red of the 94 accords. Kinda Maroon. (sorry if this is your car and it was a jackass move to use your pic) I just google imaged accord to find the picture because I'm not sure exactly what this peice is called. Well I bought the car with this peice missing. It has the holes going back all the way. I found some unpainted ones.. Do you think I could just get the unpainted one and paint it that color? what's the cheapest way to fix it. I never thought it would have bothered me, but it's really starting to get to me. Thanks guys.

EDIT: My pic didn't work, so i picked this one. It's the peice you see on the back door. It's off. That moulding strip/trim peice/ blah blah. I dont know what you call it.. any help would be appreciated.

Ah, i believe this is called weatherstripping, theres some slang tho for it too. You can find a piece like this on Ebay, altho i dont konw if you'll find a painted one, but yes you could paint it yourself.
pretty sure this is it:

This is actually the peice i'm looking for. But..
I dont have the clips to put it on, and is it feasible to actually match 12 year old paint?

well if it was properly cared for it shouldnt be to bad but if its had a lot of wear and tear just see if they can blend it where they paint around the molding to sorta make it match

i used to work in paint & auto body....the paint still will not match perfectly but will be close enough and who cares anyway, its a small part (molding) Its not like its an entire body panel. Besides that, the difference in color wont be off by that much and it will still look a lot better than it would with the molding missing.
