Ok guys heres the thing..> My mom is thinking about gettin the RSX because some deal from acura or soemthing.. im not sure.. I got an ITR... and i have no clue bout the RSX.... My mom wants to know whats the difference between them and if its worth spending antother 3 gs on teh car... even though she gonan return it ... My questions are can u hear vtec on teh regular one?? and does it feel slow... ahaha bomb thnx !!

 

Well,....one thing I can tell you is,..The TYpe-S really dosen't need a six speed.But from what I hear the BASE is pretty peppy.Although it runs like mid 16's but I hear it is still pretty quick feeling off the line,..almost like the Type-S.Then it gets left hard as the RPM's rise.The Stereo in the S is a sweet *** factory,..way better then the R but not like to DIE for.Compared to the GSR/TYpe-r,..its like amping every speaker!!Thats reason enough,..+ the Interior(Leather) is the ****,..although I want the 2002 SI seats,...tell her to by the Base and I'll sell her my(BLK)leather seats!hahahah
I would go all out,..I've driven my old SUpercharged GSR/ LS/VTEC + my Friend's R and S2000 and the Type-s drives so smooth as far as shifts and just the whole feel of the car,..now a S2000 is "THe Daddy" but I would go for the S,..not because I have one,..It is pretty damn nice! IMO

 

My GF is looking at RSX's too... we test drove a RSX... they didn't have any type S'

for a girl who is afraid of reving the engine..... do you think the premium paid for the s is worth it... for the bose stereo/6 speed/ leather seats?

 

The Base RSX should reach its Peak HP and Torque sooner, which will be better for Street Driving. If your mom's gonna race or likes to rev the engine high, the RSX-S is better...
