Whats the diffrences in these clusters?
ok i need to know the diffrence between these 2 clusters. I know #1 is a 2000-2001 Integra Type R cluster and all i know about #2 is that its a Type R cluster dont know what year. I'm kinda a new to this "hype R" scene since the only other hondas i've ever owned are crx's(6 of em to be exact). All info appreciated and yes i have searched and im not a newb so please keep all the stoopid comments to yourself

the second one is itr but somebody took off the cf face, you can buy those cf faces from honda,
did the 97's have faux cf clusters? i read the climate control was solid black, amber lights but solid black so i wouldnt think the cluster had cf face

yes the climate control was like all the other Integras but lit up amber...
and yea they are the same cluster someone just took off the carbon bezel

#1 is definitely a 00-01
#2 is definitely a 98
#2 doesn't have an immobilizer, so it could be 97-98. BUT the door ajar, ABS, and SRS lights are in the same corner as the 00-01. A 97 cluster would have a seatbelt light where the door ajar light is on the 00-01 cluster. Someone put a regular Integra bezel on the 98 cluster.

It's not the original bezel, which probably meant the guy never swapped the icons out.

97 and 98 have the same icon locations? I have never paid any attention. I know that panel print (green film) have different PN's.

97 ITR's didn't have the faux CF. I'm only saying that because I have a 97 and it doesn't. I don't think Glenn Kawano removed it either.

For the left side. The right side, the icons were different.

Sorry to the OP for going OT. I have directions on how to convert my 97 R cluster to fit a 98 R wiring harness. In looking at the pinouts, I don't see where my ABS wire is to be pinned. Have any idea or should I just buy a panel print and bezel for a 98 R and call it good?

The ABS wire is integrated with the SRS plug. I believe it's A2.

Well somebody removed it, all ITRs had the faux CF bezel.

Here's the difference:
1st cluster has lil' over a 1/4 tank of gas.
2nd cluster has no gas.
So go with the 1st cluster
And yeah, all ITR's have the CF bezel.

Weird... even my friends 97 ITR doesn't have it. He is the original owner too.

It can happen, a friend of mine picked up an ITR from the dealer, when he came home to show off the bay, it was a GSR strut bar instead of the ITR.
