hey well i got my pm 6 back from chris and got the serial dataligging cable...everything looks good cept the serial cable... it has a female end and so does my laptop computer so how am i supposed to hook both of them up together?? some kind of an adapter??

 

if your laptop has a serial port, it should be male. make sure you arent confusing the port on your computer with a VGA output port (15 pins instead of 9). if your computer doesnt have a serial port you'll need to buy a usb to serial cable like this:
