Default Help-Brake pads won't fit on driver side rear...

I am having a problem with brake pads fitting on the left side rear. All others went on fine with no problems, but the driver side rear pads fit too tightly against the rotor so that the wheel won't turn. I have turned the piston clockwise until it is fully compressed and just spins, but it's a really tight fit and takes quite a bit of effort to even get the caliper bolted back onto the assembly. Has anyone had this problem before? I have compared my new pads to other new ones and they are the same widths...

Buy a clamp, and clamp the brake caliper all the way down...Then try it again! Make sure you bleed your lines right once it on...

The rear pistons can't be clamped, they have to be turned clockwise to compress the piston. I have tried bleeding the lines though and even broken the bleeder screw and then tried to compress it more. But the thing just won't go in any further, so I figure it is fully compressed. What's really wierd is that the other side is just fine. Can't figure it out.

Sounds like a bad caliper...

That's what I thought too, however, I didn't mention before that I replaced that earlier today since I thought that's what it was. This one does the same thing.

Hmm...maybe you take the one off the passenger side, and put them next to each other and see if there is a difference...Maybe a defective brake pad! SHRUGGING!
