yeah do some searching azzclown, plenty of writeups on short shifter installs

 

short shifter is installed, and it took a good hour...taking out the time to look for the lube, which was about 30 mins, but the actual labor was about an hour..but.........
i cant seem to shift as quick as i would like to. especially from 1st to 2nd.
would it be because the bolts arent torqued to spec? because when it was first installed, it was really hard to get into gears, so i loosened the bolt from the skunk2 shifter to the linkage, and it was better, but not good enough.

 

tq spec's wouldent do that.

you gotta break it in! mine was super stiff when i first installed it, but after slamming on it for a while its buttery smooth now
