RSX Rim and Tire Question
i know im gonna get flamed and called a noob.. but whatever. haha.
there are different sizes on the rims and tires... just wondering what's the max that you could put on it... im planning on getting some 17s, and they came with these sizes...
17x7
17x7.5
17x8
among those which ones is the one that's the size that you could put on the rsx without rubbing on the fender wells...?
what im planning on getting is 225/45/17. will that size fit ok in the car without rubbing? or will i need to get a smaller width tire?
thanks!

dont worry not alot of people know about rims....the max size you can get is 18, the max width is 8.... but for your question is 17x8... 8 would be the max you can go without sacrificing turn radius. question tho are u goin for gravity casted? if so u might not want to get those... those are too heavy
As JDMITRTuner said, 8in width is as wide as you can go with stock fenders and you may need to roll them a bit depending on your ride height. There are some fender kits out there to give you a widebody so you can go wider.
You can also go larger diameter with some modification to the fenderwell. I've seen 20's on an RSX before... ugly as sin, but hey..

im lookin at Rotas right now... the Rota Boost to be exact. im leaning toward the gold color as well. haha.
but anyways, i was thinkn of getting 17x7 or 17x7.5 ... with maybe some 225/45/17 ...
do u think with those tires... on a 2in drop on springs... will it look nice? haha. here's a pic of my ride right now..

by the angle and the tell tale hole in the tip for the silencer, I'd say HKS Hi-Power

the safest I have seen and was told are 17x8.0 with a 1.5 in drop. If you wanna run wider, you can fit the 17x8.5 with a +40 offset. You might be able to get away with a +35 offset if the fender roll is nice. I too have been asking around and have already been told it is safe. But for a 2 in drop you might be good sitting on a 17x7.5 because at that you already meeting the fender am I right?
im using an apexi exhaust. hehe
but umm.... yeah.. im thinkn of putting some 225.45.17s. hehe. not sure though if it's gonna rub. but here's the pic that got me thinkn of the rims. i saw em before.. what ya'll think?
