Approximately how much to chrome valve cover and header heat shield?
For all that have chromed their valve cover and header heat shield, how much did it cost you and what do you have to take off to take off the valve cover? I believe there is a valve "hold-em" seal and that is all?? please advise!
You know chrome is gonna hold heat, raising your eng. temps (not good) right?
I suggest stripping the paint and polishing it if you want to be shiny instead of painted.

from what i heard, chroming out your valve cover is going to run $150+. I agree about stripping the paint and going for polished or powdercoated. as far as chroming out your heatshield, save your money, buy a header, and lose the heatshield

Hmm.. i was thinking of chroming the heat shield to lessen the heat from my DC header. I have the DC header already. here's what a pic looks like with it chromed/polished
