Default Mtech/Mtec (sp?) driveline products

I am in the market for a new driveline setup. Gear set and final drive. The company I am looking into is called MTECH or MTEC? If I remember correctly, they are the manufactures for the Nismo driveline products as well. I am looking for testimonials or any type of information from you all. Please chime in.

From my understanding Mtec actually bought out Mugen.. I find is kinda strange considering the only real Mtec products I can think of are ricer bulbs.

No, Mugen changed their name to MTEC after some issues with taxes. No one bought out Mugen...just trading under a different name is all...

The company under discussion does dog-gear conversions too if Im not mistaken. No personal experience, however. Good luck..

What are the plans?

From what I understand, due to the tax scandal at Mugen, all assets of Mugen including the name were purchased by M-tec.

M-tec is a reputable tuning/motorsports company. They run the M-tec NSX in the JGTC 300 class.

Those photos are from the November 04 race in Fontana CA. That was before Mugen became M-Tec. The M-Tec car is Chrome-Blue (not Chrome-gold). on them for using old pics...

i dont have their gear set so i can't really tell you how it would be. but i am sure it will perform good at the track.

i think if you get the whole gear set. your 5th gear will be almost same as your stock 4th gear

oh. i just read the post.. and Mtech / mtec is NOT Mfactory/infinitude

more info on them gears here

Correct. Sorry if I confused anyone. I was just stating which brand Aquafina sells.

MFactory.

OE Supplier for NISMO.

I'll be using their gearset in my D series.

Waiting for Soichiro's way's input...

I would like to see something in writing about MF being an OE supplier.

Then contact them.

I'd like to see his reply. All parts made don't work. This is true even with ATS and Houseman. Of all the MFactory parts I've sold, none have come back to me.

Not taking a stab at you or the products. You said they were an OE supplier so i'd like to see some literature on that.

THe gentleman being referenced simply made some observations about the machining that was done to the needle bearing area. He is a Honda tech (previously an Acura Tech). Ill let him make any comments about this product.

Would still like to see that literature you spoke of. Calling them wouldn't help as they would just tell me the same thing you did...

The machining on the needle bearing has been covered over and over before, with this and other companies. The conclusion is a new needle bearing and you're set. I've run mine since Jan. of this year with the same needle bearing that came in the case and it has worked fine. I did this on purpose just to test out everyones opinions. Evian will vouch for how much hell I give my car when I'm not on track.

Great. We are in the process of installing the 4.9 as well as the 3-4-5 gear set to see what, if any, problems occur.

HAHA...The 4.9 is going on one car and the 3-4-5 will be on another.

But yea, traction would be a SERIOUS problem...
