Well for the past year my brake pedal has been mushy. About a year ago I had my brakes done. New pads and shoes. The brakes worked great for two months, then the parking brake went south. The mushy pedal had come back and it took forever to stop. I've checked the amount of material in the pads and shoes and the level of the fluid. Everything checked out fine. Then I thought it might be the master cylinder or the power booster. Nope both checked out fine. Yesterday I was reading my manual and it said something about adjusting the clevis in the rear drums, I did this to the books specifications and it seems to have worked. I will find out tomorrow in the heat of the day. I say the in the heat because it seems as if the pedal only got mushy after normal braking during the hot times of the day. I shall see tomorrow.
cliff notes: I've been driving for a year w/no parking brake and a mushy pedal, cause i was too lazy to read the manual.

Forgot to mention I already did that.
Plus I noticed uneven wear on the shoes on the rear, as in the top and the bottom were getting thin whilst the middles were almost new in thickness.
