i've read posts were timing belts have snapped w/ B's and such, but couldn't seem to find it since search is all fugged up. if anyone has better luck please post up the link.

on the other hand, any thoughts on this? im going to pick up some B's this week.

Stock timing belt is fine, just change it more often.

He's exactly right, stock is fine... I use Toda C's with ITB's on my daily driven hatch with no problems. Maintance is key!! Later, Dennis.

 

Stock belt is good for the job. Just don't over tighten the belt and replace it more often. I replace mine every 20000 kms, and I have been running TODA B's with stock belt for more than 45000 kms now.

 

Yeah stock is good enough but i still put a PE belt on just for insurance you know what's better pay the 160 for the belt of pay the big $$$ when the belt snaps. IMO.
