I got my new short ram and hooked everything up.. except the small thing that sticks off of it.. and i didn't do anything to a vaccum line. What is the little nipple thing for? And what am i supposed to do with the vaccum line?

what engine?

on the f22a1 the intake has 1 vacuum line that goes to the intake manifold, it would connect to a spot right next to the TB/coupler

the other one (its bigger) goes to the valve cover breather tube.

the breather is the one right above that round black thing on my intake.

That smaller nipple is supposed to go to the line he has capped off.

If you cap it off, make sure you cap off the line that's supposed to go to it as well. It won't hurt anything. In fact, AEM intakes don't even have the smaller nipple.

picture of your intake and what hose you are talking about might help.

i know i have a 93, but that little vacuum hose on mine, i just took the fitting for it from my old intake tube and put it on my new intake tube.

basically, just pull it out, drill a small hole in your coupler and force it through, it will seal nicely (if your hole is small enough) and it gives it a place to go

thanks.. where is the line located though? I didn't have to remove any lines or anything from the stock intake. Thats why i don't get why hes connecting that there, and if i don't do that, will it harm my car?

some people just take a piece of foam and stick it in the end of that line to make a filter for it and leave it loose.

i dont think its a good idea to leave a vacuum line of any sort unplugged

if you leave it loose won't you have a vaccum leak and the car won't run right? Because i didn't touch that and my car runs fine.
