problem with my '92 civic with a z6. the past couple weeks the car has been idleing low and popping every time I let off the gas, but only when the car gets up to normal temp. today it stalled and i could not hear the pump turn on. after about 10 times of turning the key off and on it started again. also it has been hot as hell outside and the car seems to run even worse.could it be a fualty pump or what?

 

It's more than likely your main relay (located under the driver's side dashboard). The soldered connections tend to crack in the heat after a while. I had the same problem myself for a while, getting a new main relay did the trick. It's a grey colored box with a red plug. Hope that helps.

are you able to tell visually if the sodder is cracked?

 

i looked at the main relay, i think. Is it the 7.5 amp fuse that is labeled starter signal? If so, it looks good but if I pull it out the car still starts and runs like it does with the fuse in.
