i've read a bunch of posts about running 225 series tires on an ITR and I understand that on a USDM ITR these tires will rub in the rear without a 5mm spacer, but i wonder if that will be a problem on my JDM ITR since the track is different.
also what are the general pros and cons of running a 225 tire on a stock 6" wide wheel? I have heard people say "slop" and decreased turn in, but increased overall grip.
has anyone run 225 series tires on stock rims at all 4 corners for road racing?

well seing as how the 96 spec itr is 15" and you want to run a 16" tire id say it wont work
225 on a 6"wide wheel would be very very sloppy handling, but i dont think you can even get a 225 on a 6" wheel can you? good luck with that one
and the rubbing would eb a factor depending on how low you are and what the offset is, my buddys itr rubbed with stock rsx tires 205 55 16?

The R6 in 225/45-15 is approved by Hoosier only for rims that are 7.0-9.0 inches wide.
The 205/50-15 is approved for 6.0-8.0 inch rim widths.

In that case, I run those on 15x7 wheels for autox.

96-97 spec JDM ITR has 4x114.3 hubs, with GSR sized rotors, and GSR calipers and pads. I have been told by others that it also has the same track as USDM non-ITR integras.

yes, but you were comparing usdm itr's to jdm itr's.
i know of no such difference in dimension - track for track between the two.

i think it was reid or someone that confirmed the difference in track for JDM 96 spec vs JDM 98 Spec. JDM 98 Spec = USDM (except for 36mm axles).
