My new OLD car.
Not a JDM Honda, but I think it's a stupid cool little car. A 1984 Mazda GLC.
Picked it up cheap to get around with while I'm restoring the CRX.
Spent all last night detailing her.
I've been trying to find parts online for the car, and all I can find is simple stuff.
Me and some friends are going to practice body work on it, then give it a good rattle can job.
Enjoy!

You're going to rattle-can that paint? It looks pretty damn good in the pics... especially for an 84'!

My dad had one of those but it was beat up as ****. I was hella embarrassed to ride in that ****. I definately wouldnt mind pushin yours though.
I had one as a beater 5-6 years back. I bought off some stoner hippies and had to finally get rid of it b/c of the constant reek of pachuley (sp?) oil.
Nice score though

What's wrong with practicing body work on a 22 year old beater?? It's not like it's a mint collector worthy car.

Thanks for the compliments.
By rattle can paint job, I mean a very involving primer, base, and several clear coats job, finished up with a good wet sanding and buffing. It's a project I've always wanted to try, and I'm not about to do it on my CRX.
There are rust specks ALL OVER the car, and the other side of the car is in bad shape, as the one fender must have been shittily painted earlier in the cars life. There is also heavy rust on the underside of the car, and the rear tub is rusting through. I'm going to see what I can do about that.
It does look good in pictures though, but you can't see most of the damage. Not bad for a car older than me, and it can all by fixed up.
The motor is on it's way out so I want to enjoy it as much as I can and experiment on it.
I was looking into a rotary swap, which would be cool, but thats way out of my league when it comes to mechanical abilities. If someone else wants it when the motor blows, its all yours!
It has a 1.5 liter, 75 horsepower carbed engine. It's actually pretty peppy for an old clunker.

reminds me of my old race car. I don't have a picture handy. But look up corksport and you can probably get a nice turbo japanesse spec motor for around $1000.
