Ok so after I got some help with the problem in the past the pudering I was driving my car to get some parts for my moms altama and my car starts to knock so I got home once agen with it off. So I pop my hood and look all over so I did the smart thing and take the head cover off and well what do you know 3 broken valve springs and a broken valve. So what should I do.
1) New motor-/A/B16a /B/B18 /C/ZC
2) Fix the motor and boost
3) Part out and get a new car

Don't bother with the stock engine. Concidering the price of a ZC, and the fact they just bolt in, might aswell go down that road if you only have a bit of money. If you got the cash, go B series, you will have more fun with that while it's NA, and you can always upgrade NA or go FI.

Parting it out wouldn't help you that much, but I will scrounge you for parts tho...up to you.

need more info like *** said. Do you want to keep it stock? Do you have money? You eventually plan on getting another motor? Or do you just care about getting it running asap?

What is your budget, how much money can you spend? You can get a decently fun car going if you go the B16 route, as much as people hate that engine sometimes... I still think that it is an excellent engine for an old Civic.

Anyways, another thing you might want to consider is the D16a6 w/ Jackson supercharger setup. I had that for a couple years and it was very fun, sure it wasn't insanely fast but it was plenty of fun. The Jackson blowers are pretty cheap also, new or used.

yup. pretty fun.

 

Just swap in an SOHC ZC. Vewry simple to do and quicker than ur stock motor. Very good platform to build off of. If you got any questions, PM me or check my project thread.
