Default differance between hf-2 and hf-3 mpfi?

alright so i have 2 mpfi set ups, they both are for 88-91's i know the hf-2 is from and 88 i dont know about the one that is the hf-2. they look exactly the same other than a little nub on the back of the hf-3. so is there any differance in the 2? i have never even seen anyone discuss this topic before...

hf-3 (89-91) has the fast idle control valve on the back on the driver's side - hf-2 (88) doesn't have it - otherwise they are the same
