it was in an otherwise stock, full interior, etc, 2000 prelude. (i.e. the motor it came in.)

i never ran it at the strip. it would've been a high 13 second car with a very good driver.

heh. if it's a bolt, unscrew it. if it's got a seam, pull it apart!

Sweet deal man. Looks just like my pics. I just did that a couple months ago and waiting for my h22 block to come back from GE right now. SHould be here any day!!
This was my first time to take the engine apart also and i'm just thinking...i hope i can put it back together. :s

Keep us updated. I would love to compare results or maybe get pointers here/there when putting it all back together!

hehhhh heh. yeah. i'm having GE put the internals back together (line bore the mains, etc), but i haven't decided yet if i should do the rest of it or just leave it to the shop. i would hate to screw up some timing gear and bend all my valves on the first start or something.

True...very true. I'm acually putting it together with an experienced builder though so I think I should be fine. Seems like so many things that could go wrong with all those parts. When I started taking apart the timing belt assembly, I had NO clue there were so many parts just under that plastic cover.

I'll hopefully post pics once my block arrives.
