I have recently ordered some what I am going to call... Door Lock Stems... for the USDM Fit. I am talking about the little **** like things that would pop up when you unlock the door from the outside or you can pull them up from inside the vehicle to unlock the door as well. I know. Too much detail. I had to make myself clear.

Well... now that I think (hope) you know what I am talking about, has anyone changed these over to the metal type of stems? I have recently purchased them and was informed that these simply screw off and on. I am affraid to try any harder without damaging my vehicle... but... I have tried to turn them with a good amount of force and it's simply a no go.

Any info on this would be appreciated.

I would use a pair of pliers wrapped with like a rubber glove or something, or just a rubber glove or jar opener for better grip. It should come right off.

 

yes sir my beloved friend. It does just screw off and on b/c i have changed minez already. Just give it a lil force w/ a set of pliers (if u dont care about the stock ones, go plier directly to the plastic or else wrap it in a cloth o something) The first time is difficult but after that, its really easy. I put mine back 2 stock b/c the metal ones burn the crap outa u when it gets hott.
