Default Looking for OBD II Compatible Test pipe, anyone know where to get one?

Save the flamming for later. I am looking for one just because I am sick of haivng Carsound cats. go bad on me. If I can find a test pipe like the Godspeed one I had before (never threw any type of check engine lights) I will probably end up switching to it.

As I said, Carsound

i've had my godspeed test pipe for over a year and still no problems. but i did break 2 sets of bolts that connect the test pipe to the exhaust manifold.

Yeah, I might actually contact Dan; hell, I could probably get my own made; I know what flanges I need.

I really would just like a high flow cat. that works though. Maybe I should look in to other brands of cats.

Although I discontinued them a while back I still have a handful lying around. The last of the OBD-II's for the Hondas. Just let me know if you need one Onyx.

May take you up on that Dan. Never had a problem with the pipe I got from you before (bolts holes, but a drill easily fixed that).

I will let you know.

My orignal carsound worked for awhile; but then the element came loose. Who knows what's wrong with this one.

It's comming off as soon as I get the chance so I can see if it is clogged.

I swear; if anything is actually visually wrong with this Carsound cat I will first gut the cat. and then I will go over to Carsound and gut them... j/k

I am most angry that it takes them so long to warrenty it. I mean ****, it's not like I can drive around without a cat. Last time I ended up just buying a new cat. and then I finally got refunded for it after about a month of carsound dragging their ***!

I switched to a testpipe a few montsh back becuase my carsound started throwing a cel,and i figured it wasnt worth it. I just recently i put my obd2 ecu back in, and i have driven my car for 800 miles with the testpipe and obd2 ecu. I have not yet gotten a cel light. I dont know why either.

Yeah, I mean most likely they would give you a fix it ticket.

I would tend to agree, driving around with a test pipe is a bad idea; however, it's the hassle (from my experience) of dealing with a cat. that people do it.

I will be contacting the place that sold me my converter on Monday and I will see what they say.

Jeg's is your friend. Much cheaper than the Carsound cat. All you will require is contained within --> http://itr-nc.com/pages/jdm_4.htm

[edit] Forgot to mention they are ~$50, plus $4 or so for an O2 bung [/edit]

Pat, who passed NC emissions testing with a Jeg's cat and Spec B's

Godspeed test pipe should be good. If not, just run a high flow cat. Or you can just get an OBD I ecu, never have to worry about the 2nd O2 sensor again!!

Test pipes J/K. You should check out Jegs at tell me what you think of their cat, heck it's only $50.

No problems with mine. As mentioned in another cat thread, I even passed NC emissions with my Jeg's cat and Spec B's...

check http://www.testpipes.com also if you are worried about a ticket get a heat shield. if I cop looks with a mirror he probably wouldn't be able to tell it wasn't a cat.

For all you recommanding Jeg's Cat. it seems the closest they have to what you guys say to use is a 2.5" diameter, and 13.25 inch long. I know on http://itr-nc.com/pages/jdm_4.htm they say to use a 14" model. I tried searching for the part numbers listed and it says they are discontinued.

Any suggestions?
