Default Tokico and coilovers (post your pics)

Hi I want to run tokico/skunk2 for my car. My sleeves are loose on the rear struts. They don't fit tightly around the strut, it seems like they're too big. And since the coilovers are smaller than springs, will the springs move as I hit bumps on the road? If you have anything that will help me please post, i need as much feedback as possible. I've tried searching but it was all "for sale" stuff or threads with outdated pictures.

Please post your setup as the assembly before the installation. Thanks.

your coil-overs should have come with rubber o-ring looking things of different sizes. they prevent this sort of thing.

The sleeve-type coilovers are usually like that. The sleeve isn't a super tight fit around the shock/strut, on mine it was almost sitting at a slight angle. The weight of the car on the springs usually keeps the springs in place.

Mine looked pretty close to that. I actually switched to just tokico lowering springs/shocks, don't have c'overs on anymore.

I helped a friend of mine put coilovers on his AGX's this weekend. The instructions said to put "o-rings" around the shocks, but there were none in the kit. We just took electrical tape and wrapped a band around the shock and made an improvised o-ring to keep the sleeve from getting cocked. Worked ok - he won his class at the BOTI at MIR the next day.
